Your Initial Visit

Your first appointment at TLC will be a comprehensive 90-minute session designed to address your unique needs:

Consultation

We'll begin with an in-depth conversation with our licensed Occupational Therapist who specializes in manual lymph drainage and is a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT).  The intake will include a dialogue about your reasons for seeking treatment and a brief medical history, whether its for wellness, lymphedema diagnosis, or post surgical swelling. This helps us tailor our approach to your specific concerns.

Education

You'll receive a concise overview of the lymphatic system's role in your body and its basic anatomy. We'll explain:

Causes of sluggish lymphatic function

Common symptoms of a slow lymphatic system

The manual lymph drainage technique

Technology

We'll introduce you to our specialized FIR/PEMF mat, which enhances the effectiveness of your manual lymph drainage treatment.

Treatment

After addressing your questions, you'll relax and breathe as we perform your first manual lymph drainage session.

Aftercare

Before you leave, we'll discuss what to expect in the 24-48 hours following your treatment, ensuring you're prepared for optimal results.
